Healing for your mind and body.

Trauma therapy in Utah and Arizona

Hi there! My name is Hailey and I’m a trauma therapist

Hailey Boggess, Trauma specialist

I wish more people knew that trauma isn’t so much what happened in the past, but more about the patterns that continue to be present in your life now. It’s the way you start to overthink a facial expression, the lack of trust you have in yourself, the chronic anxiety and people-pleasing, or the sense that you are somehow broken or wrong.

Although the past is past and can’t be changed, there is so much we can do to change how it impacts you in the present. Every day I get to see people begin to feel healthier in their bodies, become more confident, resilient, and sure of who they are.

Whether your goals are to confront things you've buried, change how you show up in your relationships, become more resilient to life changes, or set aside survival mechanisms that no longer serve you, I’m here to help you do the deeper work.

We’ll go beyond talk therapy and use science-based tools that include your body and nervous system to help you achieve deep healing from trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSD.

Cactus Rose Counseling is based on my belief that pain and trauma has always been part of the human experience, and therefore, so has healing. We are resilient and designed to thrive after pain, and I can give you the tools to do just that.

Often my clients don’t even their symptoms are related to trauma, or that their relationships have been traumatic. They usually come to therapy saying things like…

“I can’t seem to manage my emotions, I get upset super quickly or shut down immediately when things get difficult”

“I’ve spent so much time being what other people what me to be that I don’t really know who I am”

“I have done talk therapy and I understand why I do things, but I still can’t seem to stop doing them”

“It was so long ago and it wasn’t that big of a deal, why can’t I just get over it? I just want to move on”

“I feel like I’m always in survival mode, cycling between anxious and exhausted.”

“I’m a people pleaser; telling people no sounds terrifying, I wouldn’t even know where to start with boundaries”

“I struggle in relationships, I either hold on too tight or put up walls and don’t let people in…. sometimes both”

“I want connect with and trust other people, but I just don’t know how”

If this sounds like you, you're in the right place.
