trauma therapist

I’m so glad your here! Finding a therapist who is a good fit is probably the most important factor in making the progress you’re looking for in therapy. So this page should give you a good idea about who I am and my approach so you can decide if we’d click!

I specialize primarily in trauma and all its impacts including nervous system dysregulation, anxious or avoidant attachment styles, emotional flashbacks, dissociation, perfectionism, and people-pleasing.

I also have experience working with depression, LGBTQ+ individuals, ADHD, transitions of faith, and I’m open to exploring whatever you might be facing right now.

When not in the therapist’s chair I love riding powder (on a snowboard of course- you skiers are missing out!), hitting the local mountain bike trails, traveling to new places, trying a new craft, and trying my best to live a slow life. If you’d like to get a better feel for my approach, feel free to check out my Insta page.

Nice to meet ya!

I would describe my approach as…..

WARM BUT HONEST: I’ll level with you even if its not exactly what you want to hear because good therapy (and growth) aren’t always comfortable.

HOLISTIC: I work from a holistic perspective that recognizes that the body and the mind are deeply intertwined. This means we will look at movement, nutrition, sleep, current and past relationships, and especially the nervous system as part of your treatment.

PROGRESS FOCUSED & COLLABORATIVE: I try to hold a balance between talking about the day-to-day, and making time to focus on the deeper issues that are keeping you stuck. The last thing I want is for therapy to be an expensive venting session- let’s do the deeper work that helps you see real shifts!

PRESENT & ATTUNED: I make a point to take care of myself outside of work so I can show up regulated, aware, and able to attune to you and your needs. I watch the subtle body shifts and facial expressions of my clients so I can be present with them throughout the work. I want feedback from you so I can fine-tune the whole experience to you.

HUMAN & PERSONABLE: If you are looking for a ‘blank slate’ therapist, unfortunately that is not me! I let my humanness and personality show in sessions, because having a real connection with someone is really important throughout trauma work.
